Our Executive Team

As a founding partner of MarketSphere Lonnie has been involved in virtually all aspects of launching and growing the firm.  In addition to serving in a variety of firm-wide leadership roles, he has also been instrumental in developing and growing new service offerings, many of which are now part of the Ventures portfolio of companies.  In September 2013 Lonnie assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of MarketSphere Ventures.   In this capacity he carries the vision of the firm forward as we seek to build great businesses for our clients, our people and our investors.

A native Nebraskan, Lonnie received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his MBA with an emphasis in Finance & Economics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  He is very active in the community serving on the board of directors for the Boy Scouts of America, the Catholic Charities Foundation and the Ginger Cove Homeowners Association.   Lonnie and his wife Jackie have four children.

Steve began his career at Arthur Andersen where he launched the business consulting practices in the Omaha and Kansas City markets and served as the Managing Partner for various market and solution practices across the region.  During his tenure at Andersen, he built and managed several business advisory and technology consulting practices from inception to successful profitable operations.  Steve is the founder of MarketSphere and served as its Chief Executive Officer for over 10 years.  He directed the launch of the company and architected its business strategy and operating model, and evolved the business through rapid growth and expansion into a leading business advisory and technology firm.  Under Steve’s leadership, MarketSphere grew revenue by 2,000%, headcount by 700%, and opened 13 offices around the country.  During this period, five successful businesses, and many solutions, were incubated and developed.  Today Steve serves MarketSphere Ventures as its Chairman and Corporate Development Officer where he is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business concepts that have the greatest potential for success on the Ventures platform.

Brian began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG.  During his time in public accounting, he assisted large banks and investment management companies with financial statement audits, internal control compliance, SEC filings, and other advisory engagements.  He joined MarketSphere in 2005 as a Senior Consultant and engaged with clients in several areas, including enterprise software implementation, financial transformation initiatives, and unclaimed property solutions.  Brian has since worked as MarketSphere’s Corporate Controller and Director of Finance, helping to set and execute strategic finance and operational objectives for the company.  He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of MarketSphere Ventures and oversees all administrative operations for the Ventures companies, and assists with qualifying and integrating new business opportunities for the Ventures platform.

Brian started his career as a Consultant with Arthur Andersen.  He spent his years at Andersen working as a programmer in their technology solutions division.  Brian is a founding member of MarketSphere and has worked in numerous roles since the company was started in 2002.  Brian has been the inherent internal IT person from day one, managing all core IT infrastructure for the company.  In addition to his internal role, Brian has spent much of his time developing, delivering and managing enterprise solutions for MarketSphere’s clients in areas of enterprise software implementation, strategic sourcing, procurement transformation and business infrastructure planning.  Today, Brian is the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for core technology infrastructure for all Ventures companies, and he is the leader of MarketSphere’s Innovation Center, which provides technical solutions and support for Ventures companies and external clients.
